The narrowest building in Alesund, Norway on Kongens gate (a pedestrian street) contains an art gallery. The town is famous for its art nouveau (Jugendstil) architecture. The town was rebuilt after a fire in 1904. Alesund is in the heart of Fjord Country, at the entrance to Geirangerfjord on Norway's west coast.
