A mock army like one that would have once occupied the fort. Jiayuguan Fort is the western end of the Great Wall built in the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644). It was an important military fortress and key waypoint of the ancient Silk Road. This was the last major stronghold of Imperial China. Gansu Province, China.
